Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting

November 9 – 13, 2013

Taking place at San Diego Convention Center, Neuroscience 2013 is the leading event for the exploration, understanding, advancement and collaboration of neuroscience – the science of the brain and nervous system. More than 30,000 neuroscientists from around the world will converge on beautiful San Diego to present emerging science, explore new ideas, tools, and technologies, learn from experts, and network with peers at the world’s largest marketplace of neuroscience. This year’s annual meeting of the Society of Neuroscience will be held November 9-13.

The Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting will feature nearly 16,000 scientific presentations and abstracts, 34 professional development workshops and networking functions, 600 exhibitors, and many exciting social events where scientists from 80 countries can network and socialize. The marketplace will feature hundreds of vendors and exhibitors with the latest neuroscience products and technologies, as well as hand-on exhibits that promote innovation and learning.

Neuroscience 2013 offers several exciting programs, including a special presentation on U.S. and European Neuroscience Initiatives, which highlights the global development of new tools and applications and the momentum behind the BRAIN Initiative in the U.S. and the European Commission’s Human Brain Project. Other programs include the Gender Bias in Science Symposium and Global Advocacy Symposium.

Back by popular demand, the Art of Neuroscience display will feature eight artists who create neurological-inspired pieces – from paintings to sculpture to jewelry. Students will have face-to-face meetings with advisors and school representatives at the two-day Graduate School Fair.
