From Indie Films to Future Mega Hits

Film buffs are in for a real treat at the San Diego Film Festival 2013. Expect 120 feature films, documentaries, and short films from which to choose including subjects as diverse as surfing, cerebral palsy, and science fiction. It's a veritable smorgasbord of cinematic delights over five days, so be sure to pace yourself.

Here's a tasty sampling of what you might see: A personal film about Mariel Hemingway titled Running from Crazy, which focuses on the actress's famous family. Another huge highlight is the Tribute to Judd Apatow, the director and producer of hit movies like This is 40 and Knocked Up. He'll receive the Visionary Filmmaker Award at the Oct. 3 gala.
