San Diego Padres

San Diego Padres Since 1969, the San Diego Padres baseball team has been entertaining millions of fans of America’s national pastime. Over the years, they’ve won two National League pennants, going to the World Series in 1984 against the Detroit Tigers and again in 1998 against the New York Yankees.  While they did not come away with a championship either time, the San Diego Padres have provided a wealth of memories for both young and old alike. The team’s most well-known player, Tony Gwynn, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. When they began as an expansion team, the Padres played their home games at Jack Murphy Stadium, later named Qualcomm Stadium. In 2004, a new downtown San Diego stadium, Petco Park, opened and that’s where you can catch the ballgame these days. The state-of-the-art, open-air ballpark offers great views of the field as well as the city of San Diego. Tours of Petco Park are available, providing fans with an intimate look at a first-class stadium.

The Bristol Hotel is running a special offer on game days that includes 20% off your room and 50% Off dinner entrees at FIRST avenue bar & grille. For more information on this package, please visit: http://www.thebristolsandiego.com/san-diego-hotel-deals.aspx.
