The Old Globe’s annual Shakespeare Festival is a magical theater experience and the perfect place to discover the timeless allure of Shakespeare on a warm summer night.

.Shakespeare's most playful and popular comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream is filled with magic, music, and merriment in an enchanted forest where fairies play tricks on unsuspecting lovers and actors are transformed beyond their wildest dreams. Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice is a tale of mercy and justice, generosity and greed. The play weaves together comedy and tragedy in a spellbinding and suspenseful drama.

Stoppard's Tony Award-winning farce, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, turns Shakespeare's Hamlet inside out. The fast-paced and irresistibly funny show follows two minor characters from the greatest tragedy ever written who struggle to escape their fate. The Tony Award® -winning Old Globe is one of the most acclaimed theaters in the country featuring three unique venues: the historic Old Globe Theatre, Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre and the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.
