Gorgeous beaches are the hallmark of San Diego, and with 70 miles of coastline, all year sunshine and great surf, it’s no wonder! Located just off the mainland shore, Coronado Island’s beaches are considered to be some of the best in the country. Visit Coronado Central Beach for glistening white sand, gentle waves and plenty of space for swimming, sunbathing, surfing, boogie boarding, tidepooling, and general exploring. North Beach is the best place to go if you and your dogs want to get some fresh air and exercise. Glorietta Bay is half park, half beach and offers a small beach area surrounded by a grassy playground, picnic benches and views of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. If you want to get out and explore local beaches on the mainland, check out Ocean Beach, where you’ll find a large beach area, a great fishing pier, surf shops, and restaurants. Mission Bay is the hotspot for water sports, and you can get your thrills on everything from jet skis and surfboards to kit-boards and kayaks. If water sports aren’t your thing, Mission Beach is also great for sunbathing, picnicking and nighttime bonfires. If you’re not sure which San Diego beach is right for you, just ask our friendly staff for a suggestion and directions.
