When it comes to Cinco de Mayo events and celebrations in San Diego, none compare to Fiesta Old Town, a free 3-day festival in honor of all things Mexican. As the largest Cinco de Mayo party in Southern California, the 29th Annual Fiesta Old Town features fun activities for the whole family, young and old. There’s live music on two stages, from Mexican mariachis to flamenco guitar, a lively Mercado along San Diego Avenue where you can find hand-crafted leather wares and fine jewelry, as well as Low-rider Lane, full of custom cars decked out with hydraulics and intricate paint jobs.

Celebrate with Spicy Food, Tequila, & Beer! -

Like any quality Mexican fiesta, food and drinks are a must. Be sure to stop by the beer garden for ice-cold Coronas, Tecates, Modelos, and more south-of-the-border favorites. Then taste the difference between Joven, Añejo, Reposado, and Blanco tequilas, before filling up on delicious home-cooked tortillas, enchiladas, and salsa from over 20 local restaurants.
