Fall Back Festival San Diego & Children's Street Faire
About 5 year(s) ago by The Bristol Hotel
Set your clocks back one hour for the end of Daylight Savings time, and turn the time back to the 1880s during the Fall Back Festival and Children’s Historic Street Faire. Taking place from 11AM to 4Pm on Sunday, November 9, this free event features a wide variety of activities for kids and families. Three blocks of the Gaslamp Quarter are transformed to a western town of yesteryear, with blacksmiths, pie vendors and gold prospectors. Imagine what life was like for the early inhabitants of the city, when Bum the Dog and Alonzo Horton roamed the dusty streets. Featuring tons of historical demonstrations and interactive activities, this unique afternoon is fun for all ages. Features of the Fall Back Festival San Diego include:
• Folkloric Dancers • Southwest Indian Sand Painting • Chinese Calligraphy for Kids • Model Railroad Demonstrations • Drumming Jam Session • Magicians, Musicians, Dancers & Storytellers • Complimentary Hot Dogs & Root Beer Floats • Panning for Gold • Carnival Rides • Craft Booths • Pie, Spaghetti & Ice Cream Eating Contests
